"Holly" came into our lives in l975. We had always admired her mum Pandora of
Khyber, in fact at my first l0 class judging appointment I had given her BOB, I
thought she was superb but she never gained her title (she well deserved it)
However, her owners Mr and Mrs Tait mated her with Ch Koolaba Horningsea Eboni
Earl, and that was their one and only litter bred under the OREGANO prefix.
When we went to just have a look at the request of Mr and Mrs Tait, we were
absolutely amazed to be greeted by a very young tiger in the hall, one of two,
they had an orphaned camel and the tigers played with the Afghan puppies, you
couldn't make it up it was wonderful. We didn't want a puppy bitch, we had
Mitzi, but we came away with Holly, and just to even things up, we came away
with "Sage" as well.
Holly grew into a super bitch made for the showring, she was Top Bitch about as
many times as her brother CH OREGANO TARRAGON AT KARNAK was Top Dog and from the
same litter was CH ORGANO DIL and OREGANO ROSEMARY TO KARNAK.
Holly's first three CC's were awarded by Betty McClark, Val Jordan and Jo
Holden, she won many more CC's and she won her 6th CC just three months after
her first litter. She was born in January l975 and gained her titled on the l6th
July l977.
Holly was mated to CH. AMUDARA SHALAR, and from this mating came CH SHARAZAH
BLACKBERRY SILK and CH SHARAZAH STARSHOOTER.
She was so easy to live with, and had a lovely outlook on life, we really never
saw her in a bad temper, until Mitzi encroached on her territory when she had
this litter. She always showed her socks off, and lived a good long life.
