Hi Everyone. I am sorry to have to relate that Jim Taylor died this morning at 6.10am.
I am sure you will join with me in sending our love to Brenda and their niece Sarah, who has been more like a daughter to them.
Jim and Brenda have been very good friends to Pat and I and have given two of our puppies the best homes we could have wished for them. They were also in partnership on two of our bitches, Sari and Sophie, who lived with us and were co-breeders of our last litter from Sophie. Jim supported us in every way he could especially with the VDOM dogs which he loved. Sadly the plan to put Edris into Jim's name, so that he still had an Afghan to follow in the show ring, never came to fruition. We will certainly miss him.
God Bless Jim
Love... Dawn x (Kirwan)

Oh how very sad Dawn..........Jim was a lovely man and always gave me a little kiss when we saw him at the shows and always had time for the newcomers in the breed (as I was back in those days) without people like Jim Taylor, Jim Lacey, Roger Bartram and Clive Winters to name just a few, I don’t think we would have taken showing Toyah so serious.
My thoughts are with Brenda at this very sad time send her my love please
Yvonne (Crossland)

So sorry to have come home from the Welsh to read this sad news, Jim and Brenda were much in our thoughts today.
We felt that both Jim and Brenda always had time and a good word for everyone, new and 'old' in the breed. We shall always remember their kindness when we first started showing and hardly knew anyone, the smiles and chats at the benches of our first Ch Shows, congratulations and commiserations in equal measure, will be treasured memories, our hearts go out to all the family.
Safe journey, Jim . . . . .

OH, Dawn, we are both so very sorry to hear that Jim has passed away, although we did know it was inevitable given the circumstances. He was one of the nicest people one could ever hope to meet and the afghan world will be a sadder place with his passing.
Please give our sincere condolences to Brenda - I will write to her of course.
