ALFIE
Alfie was one of the first dogs I rehomed approx 30 years ago. He was found as a stray, his coat matted solid and very underweight. The vet said he had suffered from clinical rickets. His legs were a bit twisted. He stayed with us for a few weeks, we clipped him off, fed him up and spoilt him rotten. This is a picture of him in his new home which was only 3 miles from us. He was a lovely gentle boy and went on to live a happy and contented life.

This case is also from approx 30 years ago. I received a phone call from a woman to say she had a litter of puppies she couldn't sell and if I didn't pick them up she would have them put to sleep. When we arrived they were in a small cage on the lawn and were very malnourished and undersized. They were 12 weeks old but looked about half that age. She said she had no room for them and couldn't afford to feed them.

This picture and the next one are 3 of the puppies at 9 months of age at one of our Rescue Rallies we used to hold.

These are the puppies from 30 years ago at one of our rallies.

CARDIFF PUPPIES
Thirty years on from the puppies above the same thing happens again. This litter was handed in to a 'dog pound' because the owner could not sell them by the age of 8 weeks. With the love and care of their new owners all have grown into happy healthy adults
