The following Afghans needing rehoming were the result  of a well respected lady who sadly became very ill from Alzheimers. She hadn't realised how her dogs were becoming neglected but eventually in a moment of clarity sought help for a dog who she thought was ill. The vets called the RSPCA who took all the dogs. They kept them there and Shirley heard about them.

After many phone calls to kennels, dog wardens etc. all of whom said they couldn't tell Shirley anything she finally spoke to someone in the local RSPCA office. All she would give her were the very basic facts ( ages and names were mixed up ) She said that they were not going to be released for quite a while because there was an 'on going case' against the owner.

After a long wait and countless phone calls the RSPCA agreed to let Shirley rehome them. It turned out that the poor dogs had been in the kennels for approx 4 months just because the RSPCA wanted to keep them for a while! When they went to their new homes most of them required medical attention for things like runny eyes, bad ears, cough etc. All were still very thin.

Thanks to Shirley and her helpers the dogs are all happily settled into new family lives as the photo's show.
