The aim of this assessment is to demonstrate that aspirant judges are totally familiar with the

1) Points of the dog

2) Structure of the dog

3) Conventional measurements of the dog

The candidate is given the diagrams below some time before the assessment, and on the day is expected to go over a dog in front of the assessor indicating the 50 points given on these diagrams. You are given 10 minutes to do this assessment. The pass mark is 46/50.

The assessment begins with the first 40 points of the dog to be identified on the dog by the candidate - these are indicated here on this diagram

The assessment then continues with these further 10 points that are used in groups to assess front and rear angulation and conventional measurements

The aim of this exam is not to actually assess the dog, but to show that you know where the universal points of the dog are and know where you would go to make assessments of key measurements and angles.
