EAST OF ENGLAND AFGHAN CLUB
OPEN SHOW
5TH OCTOBER 2008

My thanks to the Officers and Committee of the E of E for their kind invitation to officiate at this Club Show and for the excellent hospitality extended to both my daughter Sharon and myself. Thanks too to my very efficient stewards. I would like to congratulate all the exhibitors on presenting their dogs so superbly well in such adverse weather conditions. It was a shame that judging had to take place indoors, for this undoubtedly affected the movement of some hounds. As I have lived overseas for nearly 10 years, all of the exhibits were new to me and I found overall quality to be very good. Eye shape and colour has greatly improved and the majority of hounds had good ring tails. Most of the dogs had good body condition. Movement on the whole was good, although a few didn’t hold their toplines.
