Could anyone wishing to be added to any of the judging lists,
or who wishes to be moved up, please contact the secretary.
For persons who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the Breed and who fulfil the East of England Afghan Club’s A2 criteria for Breed Specialists/Non Specialists.
For persons who fulfil all the requirements of the A3 List and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by the Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of the East of England Afghan Club.
1. To have owned and shown Afghan Hounds continuously for a minimum of 10 years.
2. To have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in the Breed and have the support of the East of England Afghan Club. (KC POLICY)
3. To have judged at one Breed Club Show or one Breed Club Supported Entry Show of at least 10 classes.
4. To have judged the Breed at 12 Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs.
5. To have judged a minimum of 60 classes of Afghan Hounds.
6. To have judged a minimum of 150 dogs.
7. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedure. (KC POLICY)
8. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement. (KC POLICY)
9. To have attended a Conformation & Movement “Hands on Assessment” conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment.
10. To have attended at least one (preferably three) breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. (KC POLICY).
11. To have owned or bred a minimum of 3 Afghan Hound Stud Book entries (Save in exceptional circumstances). In the case of owned dogs, they must have been in the ownership of the applicant when they first obtained a Stud Book entry. For Applicants from Countries where Stud Book Numbers are not recognised, to have made up a Champion.
13. To have stewarded at 12 Shows to include stewarding experience at Championship Show level. (KC POLICY)
1. Minimum of 8 years judging experience in any one Breed (to include 5 years in this Breed) and have the support of the East of England Afghan Club.(KC POLICY)
2. To have judged at one Club Show or one Breed Club Supported Entry Show of at least 10 classes.
3. To have judged the Breed at 12 Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs with an adequate geographical spread.
4. To have judged a minimum of 75 classes in this Breed.
5. To have judged 175 dogs in this Breed.
6. To have awarded CCs in at least one other Breed. (KC POLICY)
7. To have shown a genuine interest in the Breed and to have attended at least one specific Breed judging Seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed and examination and/or assessment where applicable.
8. To have stewarded at 12 Shows, to include stewarding experience at Championship Show level. (KC POLICY).
9. To have owned or bred 3 dogs of your principal Breed which have gained entry into the Stud Book. (Save in exceptional circumstances). In the case of owned dogs, they must have been in the ownership of the applicant when they first obtained a Stud Book Entry. For Applicants from Countries where Stud Book Numbers are not recognised, to have made up a Champion of your principal Breed.
1. To have owned and shown Afghan Hounds for a minimum of 6 years and have the support of the East of England Afghan Club.
2. To have judged 30 classes of Afghan Hounds at Open or Championship Shows without CCs.
3. To have judged 75 dogs.
4. To have owned or bred 1 Afghan Hound Stud Book Entry.
5. To have attended three Seminars on Anatomy, Conformation, Movement and Breed Points.
6. To have stewarding experience of at least 20 classes over a minimum of 4 Canine Shows.
(Future EEAC Open Show Judges will be taken from the Intermediate List or above)
2. To have judged 30 classes of this breed at Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs over a minimum period of five years.
3. To have judged 75 dogs of this breed.
4. To have attended 3 Afghan Hound Judging Seminars.
1. For aspirant judges who have owned and shown Afghan Hounds continuously for a minimum of 5 years and who have the support of the East of England Afghan Club.
2. To have stewarded 10 classes at a minimum of 2 Shows.
1. For aspirant judges who have owned and shown their principal breed continuously for a minimum of 5 years.
2. To have stewarded 10 classes at a minimum of 2 Shows.
The Committee reserves the right to exercise discretion when applying this
Criteria.
Please Note:
As part of our Criteria we would remind judges of the Kennel Club’s mandatory Regulation F(1)22.c whereby at Championship Shows and Open Breed Club Shows they must produce a written critiques for the first two places in each class and will dispatched these to at least one of the weekly United Kingdom canine journals.
